3-way Valve required for DHW
Use of DHW requires heat exchanger tank (indirect coil tank) and Chiltrix DHW valve. All tanks require an installer-provided backup element and thermostat, & TPV. DHW105 requires anti-scald mixing valve.
* It may be necessary to add a booster pump when using a DHW tank if the tank is not within 30 ft. of the CX unit with a clean piping design. Please discuss with your Chiltrix rep. (see below).

Oversubscribing Indoor Units:
You can use any number or type of indoor equipment – fan coils and/or ducted air handlers, radiant, and all can be combined in the same system in just about any way desired. Provided, however, that in total they at least cover the total indoor load (eg. from Manual J) , and, their rated capacity does not add up to too much more than the rated capacity of the ODU(s). How much more is too much? There is no hard upper limit to the number or capacity of indoor units, but if in total they exceed the ODU(s) capacity, then they cannot all be expected to deliver their full speed rating concurrently.
